Policy Release Date | December 3, 2025 |
Amazon has implemented a new "direct verification" regULation for walkers and rollators, requiring sellers to conduct annual compliance verification through its approved third-party testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) service providers. Amazon will notify affected sellers sequentially. Failure to complete the verification on time may result in product listing removal, affecting normal sales.
A walker, also known as a walking frame or pickup walker, is a basic mobility aid that provides stability and support for individuals with walking or balance difficulties. It is a static support frame that helps users maintain balance and confidence while walking.
A rollator, also known as a rolling walker or wheeled walker, is a mobility aid designed to assist individuals with walking difficulties. It features wheels or castors, providing balance and stability without substantial weight-bearing support. Rollators are often height-adjustable, have a foldable frame for easy storage, and include a locking brake system for added safety when standing still or sitting.
Note: This policy does not include walkers and rollators designed or intended for use by children.
Amazon requires that all walkers and rollators have been tested to and comply with the following laws, regulations and standards:

Walkers | ISO 11199-1:2021 (Assistive products for walking manipulated by both arms – Requirements and test methods – Part 1: Walking frames) |
