Since the end of 2016, JJRLAB has been developing a Bluetooth bqb laboratory, which became fULly operational in 2017 and received BQTF accREDitation in 2018. To date, we have served thousands of Bluetooth product companies, providing Bluetooth testing (RF and PROFILE), and assisting with DID purchases and membership registration services.

What is Bluetooth BQBcertification?

BQB certification is the Bluetooth Qualification Body. In short, if your product has Bluetooth function and the Bluetooth logo is to be marked on the product appearance, it must pass acertificationBQBBluetooth SIGmember companies can use the Bluetooth word mark and logo after completing the certification. The Bluetooth word mark and logo can only be used for related products that have passed the Bluetooth qualification certification process. 

New Blue" Bluetooth brand

As Bluetooth technology continues to develop and evolve, we have seen an important change in the Bluetooth trademark. The background color of the Bluetooth trademark has changed from dark blue to bright blue (the following three logos are currently available).

      And the new slogan is “ unthinkably connected ”, which means that the connection that Bluetooth helps to establish between people and technology will go beyond imagination, which means that the “new blue” will undoubtedly make our lives better! 

      But please note that the previous dark blue MICrologo of Bluetooth has been invalidated. Another major change in the Bluetooth brand is the discontinuation of the Bluetooth Smart and Bluetooth Smart Ready trademarks.

      The Bluetooth word mark is also a trademark, but its word mark is immutable and cannot be translated into any other language. The following are the available Bluetooth word marks:

      Regardless of the form in which the Bluetooth trademark appears, a trademark note must be added: "The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such marks by [licensee name] is under license. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners." There is no special regulation on the font size of the note, but it must be clear and visible.

What are the conditions for using Bluetooth brands?

1. Companies must become registered members of Bluetooth SIG to use the Bluetooth brand. 2. Member companies must complete the qualification and declaration process through online tools managed by Bluetooth SIG before using the Bluetooth branded products, which must be properly qualified and declared and comply with the Bluetooth license agreement .

What product information is needed to apply for Bluetooth BQB

1. Bluetooth Certification Application Form (basic information of the product)
2. ICS/PIXIT (used to confirm the scope of the test)
3. Authorization letter /NDA (non-disclosure agreement) _It will only be used when QDL .
4. DoC/sdoc (manufacturer declaration) _Documents will be provided and signed when listing

Brief Product Description ( within 100 words ) 

Sample requirements require 

2 prototypes, 1 with RF line and capable of entering DTM test mode (RF prototype), and 1 prototype that can work normally (with accessories). 

Certification cycle test cycle 

1-2 weeks, report review plus listing cycle 1 week.

★ Bluetooth bqb certification fee (starting from January 1, 2022, all official Bluetooth fees will increase by 20%)

Bluetooth bqb certification fees include two parts: (1) DID fee (charged by the Bluetooth Association); (2) testing fee (charged by STS laboratory);

1. There are three situations for DID purchase: 

The first type: Small Business Incentive Program  (IIP) (cancelled on February 10, 2020, but applications before that date are still valid )

Required conditions: 1) The applicant company has no declaration record or listing; 2) The company's annual sales are less than  1  million US dollars;

Fees: Within 18 months, there are two opportunities to purchase 1 DID for 2,500 USD each time , and it must be used within 18 months. If it is not used, the difference needs to be paid. After 18 months, the fee returns to normal. 

The second type: free membership ( non-annual membership ) :

9600 USD/DID, unlimited times. 

The third type: annual membership:

Applicants with annual sales of less than 100 million USD: Annual fee: 9,000 USD/ year; 4,800 USD/DID , unlimited number of times. 

Applicants with annual sales exceeding USD 100 million: Annual fee: USD 42,000/ year; USD 4,800/DID , unlimited number of times. 

Note: 1) Annual fees need to be paid every year (if you do not enjoy the discount in the second year, you can suspend the annual fee payment, and the completed annual fee payment will be valid for a long time); 2) After the listing is completed, it will be valid for a long time;
