Views :
Update time : 2026-04-17

JJR Lab (China) offers shower head DOE registration + testing service at a fee of $688.

 Samples required: 2 pieces

 Testing lead time: 1 week

Registration lead time: 2–3 working days

Bathroom products exported to the U.S. must complete DOE registration. For sale in the California market, cec registration is also required.

JJR provides one-stop DOE and CEC testing & registration services to help bathroom product manufacturers export smoothly to the United States.

DOE

DOE stands for the U.S. Department of Energy.

DOE certification is issued to promote energy conservation and emission reduction, help users save electricity, reduce energy demand, and mitigate the greenhouse effect.

All products covered by DOE certification must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

CEC

CEC stands for the California Energy Commission.

Its mission is to foster a competitive and sustainable energy market.

Since 1976, the CEC has enforced California’s Appliance Efficiency Regulations — the only mandatory U.S. energy-saving rule that can influence non-governmental consumer behavior — and has played a key role in reducing energy consumption.

Both the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and California Energy Commission (CEC) impose energy efficiency testing and registration requirements for plumbing fittings and bathroom equipment.

DOE Registration Process

1. Determine Product Category

Confirm the product is within DOE scope and identify applicable energy efficiency standards (e.g., 10 CFR 430, 10 CFR 431).

2. Product Testing

Testing is performed by an accredited laboratory (e.g., ISO 17025-accredited JJR Lab) following DOE test procedures to issue a test report.

3. Submit Registration

Submit data via the DOE CCMS (ComplianCE certification Management System).

4. Await Review & Verification

Data is typically updated within 2–3 weeks after submission; product information becomes publicly searchable on the DOE website.
