All children's jewelry must pass the review by the Amazon-designated TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) agency, JJR LAB. Sellers cannot upload the test reports themselves; the review results are submitted directly to Amazon by the TIC agency.

This TIC review specifically targets jewelry designed for children aged 12 and under.

This specifically covers, but is not limited to: anklets, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, jewelry making/repair kits, and children's watches.

Note: This does not apply to fine jewelry and precious gemstones. Such products must refer to Amazon's specific policies for fine jewelry and do not need to participate in this children's jewelry TIC review.

Amazon US Marketplace Requirements

Amazon US requires that all children's jewelry has been tested and complies with the following laws, regulations, and standards:

ASTM F2923 Test Report Focus:

1. Chemical Safety: Strictly limits the content of harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, phthalates, and nickel release. For example, the total cadmium content requirement is ≤75 ppm, making it a very strict standard.

2. Physical Safety: Prevents accidental ingestion and scratches. For example, conducting tension tests on small parts to ensure they do not easily detach; checking for accessible sharp points and sharp edges.

3. Key Indicators: Total lead (accessible substrates) ≤100 ppm + surface coatings ≤90 ppm; cadmium ≤75 ppm; 8 individual phthalates <0.1%; nickel release rate (parts in direct contact with skin) ≤0.5 µg/cm²/week, piercing items (such as earrings) ≤0.2 µg/cm²/week.

4. Required Documents: CPSC-accepted laboratory test report, CPC (Children's Product Certificate), and tracking label.

Amazon Canada Marketplace Requirements

Amazon Canada requires that all children's jewelry has been tested and complies with the following regulations, standards, and requirements:

Physical and Mechanical Safety Requirements

1. Small Parts Control:

• Under 3 years old: Detachable small parts are strictly prohibited.

• Over 3 years old: Small parts must pass tension/torque tests (must not detach under ≥50N of tension).

General Basic Requirements (Applicable to All Marketplaces)

• Authentic Descriptions: Product descriptions, titles, and image materials must be authentic. False labeling of gold and silver purity and other misleading information is strictly prohibited.

• Safety Design: The product must not have easily detachable small parts, sharp edges, or sharp points to avoid the risk of choking or scratching.

• Valid Testing: Test reports must be issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory to ensure the validity of the report.

• Traceability: Products/packaging must feature a traceable label indicating the manufacturer, batch, production date, and other relevant information.

• Seller Central Operation: Go to Seller Central → Performance → Account Health → Policy Compliance → Select the corresponding ASIN → Click "Verify your product". The system will generate a unique TRFID (usually a 10-digit number + letter combination).

• Sending to Testing Agency: Provide the TRFID to an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for testing.

• Result Submission: The testing agency will directly submit the results to the Amazon system; sellers cannot upload compliance documents themselves.

• Compliance Confirmation: If Seller Central displays "Pass," the product can be sold normally. If it fails, the product must be rectified by the manufacturer and resubmitted for testing.
