Compliance Certification for Hair Dryers on Amazon

Recently, Amazon has been strictly inspecting wireless chargers. Products found without the requiRED certifications may face removal from listings and other penalties.

 

Policy Violations

If you fail to provide the required information by the applicable deadline, Amazon may take the following actions:

- Remove the relevant product listings.

- Suspend your ability to add new products or update product information.

- Withhold any payments due to you.

- Take legal action.

 

Amazon reserves the right to take any additional actions it deems necessary.

 

If you list products on Amazon, you must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as Amazon’s policies, including this policy.

 

Applicable Hair Dryers Under This Policy

This policy applies to any handheld hair-drying device, including but not limited to:

- Blow dryers

- Fan stylers

- Styling dryers

- Hot air brushes

- Hot air curlers

- Curler-dryer combinations

- Wall-mounted hair dryers

- Handheld units of wall-mounted hair dryers or similar appliances

 

Amazon’s Hair Dryer Policy

All hair dryers you list on Amazon must be tested and comply with at least one of the following standards:

- ul 859

- UL 1727

 

Required Information

Amazon may request the following information at any time, so it is recommended that you keep these details readily available:

1. Your company name (if applicable) and seller ID.

2. Your contact details, including email address and phone number.

3. A complete list of all hair dryers you have listed.

4. Clear product images for each hair dryer, which must include:

 - Safety information

 - Compliance markings

 - Product hazard warnings

5. Product descriptions and/or user manuals for all listed hair dryers.

6. A test report from an ILAC ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, confirming that each product has been tested and meets the required standards.

 

Important Note: The test report must include images of the tested product showing its packaging, compliance markings, warning labels, and age grading (if applicable). The product images in the test report must match those displayed on the product detail page.
