Scope of Baby Feeding Products CoveRED by This Policy

1. Drinking Utensils

A sippy cup, also known as a training cup or a spill-proof cup, is a drinking utensil specially designed for toddlers to prevent or reduce spillage. Unlike open cups, sippy cups come with a lid to avoid leaks, allowing children to drink through a spout or straw.

2. Baby Bottles

A baby bottle, nursing bottle, or feeding bottle is a container fitted with a nipple, enabling the user to drink by sucking. It is generally intended for infants, toddlers, or individuals who are unable to drink from a cup, and can be used for self-feeding or assisted feeding.

3. Infant Self-feeding Devices

Infant self-feeding devices are designed specifically for babies and toddlers, allowing them to feed independently with little to no supervision or assistance from caregivers.

The use of self-feeding devices carries a significant risk of injury or death due to choking or aspiration pneumonia. Infants cannot control or stop the flow of liquid from the bottle, which means the liquid may flow faster than the infant’s swallowing capacity.
