The U.S. regULations governing button batteries, coin cell batteries, and consumer products containing such batteries include 16 cfr part 1263 and ANSI/UL 4200a-2023, which officially took effect on March 19, 2024.

ANSI/UL 4200A provides systematic requirements for button battery-containing products in various aspects, including structure, testing, warning labels (on the product itself and packaging), and instructions.
**Note**: Any product containing button or coin cell batteries must comply with ANSI/UL 4200A when exporting to the U.S. This regulation does not apply to toys that meet the battery accessibility and labeling requirements of 16 CFR Part 1250 (ASTM F963).
China JJR Testing Laboratory is equipped with testing capabilities for 16 CFR Part 1263. The lab has obtained CNAS accREDitation and has been recognized by the U.S. CPSC laboratory.
