Update time : 2025-11-03

TISI Certification is issued by the Thailand Industrial Standards Institute, which is a national standardization organization under the Ministry of Industry. TISI is responsible for implementing national standards to promote, support, and develop the quality of domestic products, protect the environment, ensure fairness, and safeguard consumer safety in terms of human and property security, as well as supervising conformity assessment bodies.

TISI Mandatory Scope

The Thai government requires mandatory certification for 60 major categories of products across 8 fields, which include: electrical equipment and accessories, medical devices, building materials, consumer goods, vehicles, PVC pipes, LPG gas containers, and agricULtural products. (Common products like lighting fixtures, electrical appliances, toilets, etc., fall under the mandatory TISI certification range.) Other product categories are subject to voluntary certification.

Electric Fan TISI Certification Application Process

The Thai testing standard for electric fans is: TIS934-2558 (A.C. electric fans: safety requirements), which applies to mains-poweRED electric fans. TISI certification involves safety testing requirements.

Step 1: Gather Documentation (Thai and Product Documents)

- Thai-side: Importer-related information

- Chinese-side: Factory-related information, including the factory’s ISO certificate and relevant documentation

(For specific documentation requirements, please contact us)

Step 2: Online Submission of Testing Application

Submit the application online (handled by our TISI team, approximately 1-2 weeks). Once approved, sample submission to Thailand can be arranged (sample shipping takes about 1 week).

Step 3: Factory Audit and Testing Can Proceed Simultaneously

Once the factory audit is completed, the auditor will issue the audit report. After testing is finished, the test report will be issued.

Step 4: Submit Application for Certification Issuance

Once both the factory audit report and the test report are completed, they can be submitted to Thailand for certification issuance (approximately 3-4 weeks).

TISI Certification Fees

The certification fee varies depending on the product standard requirements. Detailed information such as product model list, input voltage, and power information is needed to confirm the quote.

TISI Certification Timeline

Electric Fan TISI certification timeline: 3 months

(Approximate timeline distribution: 1 month before testing, 1 month during testing, 1 month after testing)

Note: Before the official factory audit, the factory’s ISO 9001 certificate must be provided. The company name and address on the certificate should match the information submitted for registration in Thailand.
