- Toxicity Test: Toxic element test (en 71-3)

- Flammability Hazards

- Mechanical Hazards:

- Crib base inclination

- Entrapment hazards from gaps and openings

- Hazards from moving parts

- Hazards due to product movement

- Falling hazards

- Entanglement hazards

- Choking and ingestion hazards

- Suffocation hazards

- Hazards from sharp points and edges

- Hazards due to bedside sleeping

- Structural integrity

- Mattresses: Compliance with EN 16890

- Product Information

 

All materials and coatings within the accessible zone must undergo toxicity testing.

 

Relevant Products:

This document specifies the safety requirements and test methods for household and non-household cribs, including cradles, suspended cribs, and bedside sleepers. These requirements apply to cribs with a maximum length of 900mm, designed to provide sleeping accommodation for infants until they can sit up, pULl, or push themselves on their hands and knees.

This document does not cover electrical safety. It does not apply to cribs intended for medical or hospital use. Products that can be converted into other items may be coveRED by other relevant European standards.

 

Appendix A (informative) includes fundamental principles.

Appendix B (informative) includes A-deviations.

Regular service: 7-9 working days.

 

Sample Volume:

Two full sets of samples, including installation instructions (if applicable).

An additional set is required for toxicity and flammability testing.
