The cost of a CE certification certificate is a matter of great concern for exporters, as it relates to cost accounting. There is no exact value for the price of CE certification. Different types of products undergoing CE certification, the standards applied, and the requirements specified in the EU CE certification are also different. Therefore, the prices for CE certification vary greatly.

Let's take a look at the simplest three categories of products: general products, wireless products, and mechanical products.

I. Cost of CE certification for general electronic products

The cost of CE certification for these products also depends on the product's input situation.

In general, for DC products, CE certification involves EMC directives, with costs around $500.

For AC products, CE certification involves both EMC and lvd directives, with costs ranging from $700 to $1100.

II. Cost of CE certification for wireless electronic products

The pricing for these products depends on the wireless communication frequency band. Some products operate on multiple wireless frequency bands, so the prices need to be added together.

The CE certification for general wireless products involves the red directive. The specific cost of CE certification requires detailed wireless information from the customer before a quote can be provided.

III. Cost of CE certification for mechanical products

For mechanical products, it is necessary to first determine whether the mechanical equipment is general machinery or hazardous machinery.

CE certification for general machinery involves the Machinery Directive (MD), with costs ranging from $1500 to $2000.

CE certification for hazardous machinery requires following the process for hazardous machinery, with the involvement of an EU Notified Body (NB), and costs upwards of $4500."
