What is CE-RED Certification?

RED stands for Radio Equipment Directive, a directive concerning the compliance of radio products. Before radio products can be legally sold in EU countries, they need to undergo testing and obtain approval based on the red directive, as well as carry the ce mark. Radio products must comply with the requirements of RED Directive 2014/53/EU.

For example: remote-controlled toy cars, remote alarm systems, remote doorbells, remote switches, remote MICe, keyboards, etc.

 2. Professional radio remote control devices (PMR):

For example: professional walkie-talkies, wireless microphones, etc.

Required Documents for CE-RED Certification

 1. Circuit description (in English)

 2. Block diagram (including all oscillators and their frequencies, consistent with the circuit diagram)

 3. User manual

 4. Circuit diagram (must match the block diagram in terms of oscillator frequencies, number of oscillators, and their locations)

 5. Label

 6. Technical parameters of the wireless modULe (frequency range, number of channels, maximum transmission power, antenna gain, modulation method, etc.)

CE-RED Certification Process

 1. Application

(1) Fill out the application form

(2) Provide documents and send samples

 2. Quotation

Based on the provided documents, an engineer will determine the applicable standards, testing time, and associated costs.

 3. Payment
