Types of Projectors

The most common type of projector in use today is called a video projector. Video projectors are digital alternatives to earlier types of projectors, such as slide projectors.

①　Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, most early projectors were replaced by digital video projectors, but some places still used old-fashioned analog projectors.

②　The latest type is a handheld projectorthat uses laser or LED to project images. If the ambient light is too strong, it may be difficult to see the projection.

Ensuring the safety of the projector is important for CE certification, which is recognized in the EU and internationally.

①　If the projector has wireless transmission functionality, the RED directivemust be applied.

②　Additionally, products may need testing and certification according to the RoHS directiveif necessary.
