Qualification Introduction

Thailand Radio Products — NBTC Qualification

According to the Announcement of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC)and related regULations, all radio communication equipment and devices sold in the Thai market must obtain nbtc certification. This certification demonstrates compliance with the technical standards and performance requirements set by the NBTC.

 

NBTC Documentation Rules:

The type of qualification document required (Registration Certificate, Certification, or Declaration of Conformity) depends on the equipment category.

 

Important Notes:

1. If a product is classified as Class Aor Class B, it must carry the official NBTC ID Label. The label format must comply with official requirements (refer to NBTC’s official guidelines and diagrams).

2. Merchants must submit the correct type of qualification document according to the product type. The document must be authentic, valid, complete, and consistent with NBTC’s official verification database.

3. Equipment categories are defined by the NBTC Supplier Manual and annexes of relevant regulations:

 

a. Class A devices:Registration Certificate required

b. Class B devices:Certification required

4. Devices under NBTC regulation but not belonging to Class A or Class B: Declaration of Conformity issued by NBTC Office

 

Philippines Radio Products — NTC Qualification

According to the Philippine Radio Control Law (Republic Act No. 3846), the Public Telecommunications Policy Act (Republic Act No. 7925), and related regulations, radio and telecommunications equipment must obtain certification from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)before being sold in the Philippines.

 

This certification ensures that products meet the country’s regulatory and technical standards, safeguard telecom network stability, and protect public safety.

 

NTC Documentation Rules:

 

Merchants must provide valid certification documents (GEC, CPE, or Rce certificate) to prove product compliance with regulations.

 

Important Notes:

1. Product labels must include the NTC Number.

2. Merchants should select and upload the appropriate certificate depending on the type and function of the equipment.

3. NTC categorizes radio and telecom equipment into three groups: CPE, RCE, and GEC— each requiring different certification documents.
