What is the RSL Certificate on the TEMU Platform?

Views :
Update time : 2024-06-12

The TEMU platform has stringent requirements for the certification of electronic and electrical products' RSL qualifications. RSL qualification, which stands for Restricted Substances List, primarily involves the testing of harmfUL substances such as phthalates, lead, and cadmium as per EU regulations. TEMU mandates that all electronic and electrical products must obtain RSL certification to ensure compliance with EU safety standards.

RSL certification generally includes the following key reports: RSL Report (EU Lead and Cadmium CheMICal Substance testing Report), RSL Phthalate (EU RSL Phthalate Testing Report), and RSL SCCP (EU RSL Short-Chain Chlorinated Paraffins Testing Report). These reports are conducted by professional laboratories in accordance with the requirements of the EU reach regulations, evaluating the content of harmful substances in the products and comparing them with the limits set by REACH. If the harmful substance content in the product exceeds the specified limits, the product will not receive RSL Report certification and cannot be sold in the EU market.

The REACH regulation is a significant EU regulation concerning the management of chemical substances, with Annex 17 specifically emphasizing strict restrictions on these substances. For merchants wishing to sell products on Amazon Europe, compliance with the REACH regulation and its Annex 17 is essential. Annex 17 of REACH lists the restricted substances that must be adheRED to, ensuring that their content in products is strictly controlled within the specified limits, otherwise, the products will be banned from being sold in the EU region.

REACH Annex XVI provides a detailed list of restricted substances and their applicable products. These restrictions ensure that products circulating within the EU are safe, preventing potential threats to consumer health from harmful substances.
