Overview of the ul1026 Standard:

UL1026 is a safety standard in the United States for household cooking and food service appliances. This standard applies to appliances with a rated voltage of 250V or lower. UL1026 ensures the safety and reliability of these appliances during use through a series of rigorous tests.

Main Contents of the UL1026 Standard:

- Cooking Appliances: Induction cookers, gas stoves, electric stoves

- Cooking Pots: Rice cookers, electric pressure cookers, electric frying pans, electric steamers

- Food Processing Appliances: MICrowaves, electric ovens

- Storage Appliances: Refrigerators, disinfecting cabinets, wine coolers

- Cleaning Appliances: Dishwashers, utensil dryers, range hoods, and exhaust fans.

Testing Items of UL1026, Including But Not Limited to:

1. Input power testing

2. Leakage current testing

3. Operability testing

4. Pin-type temperature controller testing

5. Normal temperature testing

6. Front-top corner temperature convection oven testing

7. Moisture insulation resistance and leakage current testing

8. Temperature probe testing

9. Parts switches and control device testing

10. Trademark durability testing

11. Pull force testing for outdoor appliance wires

Importance of the UL1026 Standard:

In the U.S., UL certification is not mandatory, but its safety performance testing and certification play a vital role in removing technical barriers in international trade. Especially when selling household appliances on platforms like Amazon, the UL1026 test report is essential. This is because the U.S. has strict safety regulations, and Amazon, as a global commercial platform, requires appliances sold on its platform to provide the UL1026 test report to ensure consumer safety.

Note: The UL1026 standard is updated as technology and market demands evolve. For instance, there are new requirements and updates for products like slow cookers, toasters, and timers.
