What is UL 507 Compliance Certification?

The ul 507 standard applies to two main categories of non-industrial fans and blowers.

1. Fans used for air circulation, such as table fans and ceiling fans.

2. Fans used for ventilation, such as attic, wall, window fans, and household range hoods.

Fans in this category must be installed according to the NEC. Testing is similar to ul 705, with additional tests for inrush current, humidity conditioning, and optional speed control testing. Greenheck ceiling fans and cabinet fans comply with the UL 507 standard.

The United States has very strict safety requirements. Domestic electronics manufacturers have required compliance testing for many years. After a series of electronics-related fire incidents, on September 24, 2017, U.S. authorities issued specific e-commerce regulations. These regulations require Amazon to notify overseas sellers on its platform to provide relevant safety compliance reports. Amazon must instruct sellers to stop selling products until UL standard testing reports are submitted. Furthermore, the testing reports must come from laboratories accredited under ISO 17025 / ILAC ISO 17025.

How to Submit Compliance Documents to Amazon

If Amazon contacts you to provide compliance documents, follow these steps:

1. In Seller Central, select the Performancetab, then Account Health.

2. At the bottom right of the page under Product Compliance Requests, click Document Requests.

3. Click Provide Documents or Appealnext to the product.

4. Select No, and upload the documents.

5. Follow the steps under Submit Required Documents.

Note:Test reports must include images of the tested product: packaging, compliance marks, and warning labels (if applicable). Images on the report must match those on the product detail page.
