New Requirements from Thailand NBTC: WWAN Product Test Report Revision RequiRED

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand announced that starting from JULy 7, 2025, products supporting LTE 4G bands (32, 75, 76) and 5G NR bands (n32, n75, n76) must submit RF test reports to obtain NBTC Class B certification.

Requirements

① For new applications: NBTC requires submission of test reports for the corresponding bands.

② For submitted but not yet certified applications: NBTC requires additional submission of test reports for the corresponding bands.

③ For previously issued certificates: NBTC does not require any action.

Accepted Standards for New Band RF Test Reports

① 4G bands 32, 75, 76: ETSI TS 136101 or TS 36.521 - 1

② 5G NR bands n32, n75, n76: ETSI TS 138101 - 1 V18.9.0 or later versions

Recommendations for Enterprises

To ensure the smooth certification of your products, relevant enterprises are advised to take the following steps:

(1) Product Planning: During the product design and planning phase, if supporting the new bands is planned, reserve resources for compliance testing in advance.

(2) Certification Application:

① New projects: Ensure test reports fully cover all supported new bands when submitting certification applications.

② Under-review projects: Proactively contact China JJR Laboratory to arrange and supplement the test reports required by the new regulations as soon as possible.
