Battery UN38.3, Air/Sea Transport Certification & MSDS

Preparation for the 2026 annual updates of Sea Transport Certification Reports, Air Transport Certification Reports, Msds reports, and un38.3 has begun. To avoid delays during peak periods, all clients are advised to prepare in advance for the 2026 annual transport certification renewal to ensure smooth shipments. Next year’s MSDS will comply with GHS (11th Revised Edition), sea transport certification will follow IMDG Code 42-24, and air transport certification will adhere to the new regULations in IATA DGR Edition 67 (2026).

Renewal Process

①　Fill out the updated authorization forms for MSDS, Air Transport Certification Report, and UN38.3 Report.

②　For lithium battery products, provide new outer packaging photos, photos of the product after opening the outer packaging, and inner packaging photos.

③　When sending samples, mark "2026 Report Renewal" on the samples and ship the lithium battery samples as requiRED.

④　The certification body will re-review and retest the documents and samples in accordance with new regulations.

⑤　New certification reports, MSDS reports, and UN38.3 reports will be issued in 2026.

①　Various power secondary batteries, including automotive power batteries, electric road vehicle batteries, power tool batteries, and hybrid vehicle batteries.

②　Different types of mobile phone batteries, such as lithium-ion batteries and lithium-polymer batteries.

③　Various small secondary batteries, including laptop batteries, digital camera batteries, video camera batteries, cylindrical batteries, wireless communication device batteries, portable DVD batteries, and CD/MP3 player batteries.

④　Various primary batteries (e.g., lithium-manganese batteries).
