Brazilian ANATEL Certification Testing Laboratory

Brazilian ANATEL is the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil, regULating the entry of telecommunications equipment and radio equipment into the Brazilian market. anatel certification consists of a registeRED ANATEL certificate and a conformity certificate issued by an OCD-designated certification body. Products must comply with the testing standards specified by Brazilian ANATEL certification to be sold in the Brazilian market.

ANATEL Certification Service Scope

- General electronic products: such as power supplies, home appliances, computer peripherals like computers, printers, keyboards, etc.

- Wireless products: such as Bluetooth products, tablets, wireless keyboards, wireless transceivers, wireless intercoms, wireless MICrophones, remote controls, wireless network devices, wireless image transmission systems, and other low-power wireless products like mobile phones.

8. Technical specifications, including operation theory, voltage, frequency, power, etc.

9. Agreement - ANATEL rules signed by the applicant

10. ISO 9000 certificates or factory audit reports (required for multiple factories)

11. EAN authorization letter (only necessary for the first homologation)

12. Social contract (Brazilian legal document - only necessary for the first homologation, provided by the local importer)

13. Photo of the label on the product (full label with EAN and ANATEL provisional numbers)

14. CNPJ card (TAX ID - Brazilian legal document - only necessary for the first homologation, provided by the local importer)

15. Warranty information (maintenance, pieces)

ANATEL Certification Requirements

- Certificate Holder: Local importer

- Certificate Validity: Category II - 2 years, renewable

- Testing Requirements: Safety, EMC, RF, SAR, IPV6, network security

- Sample Requirement:

  - Conducted: 4 pieces

  - Radiated: 4 pieces

  - Normal: 4 pieces

  - Mobile phone accessories: ANATEL (charger, battery), with strict surge testing requirements for chargers
