A mattress is a thick pad designed specifically for sleeping, reclining, and resting. It is constructed with a sturdy fabric outer shell and internally filled with materials such as foam, springs, or cotton. This includes, but is not limited to, mattresses, futons, waterbeds, and air mattresses filled with padding material between the ticking (i.e., the outermost fabric layer) and the mattress core. Furthermore, it includes removable mattresses in upholstered furniture, such as convertible sofa bed mattresses, corner sectional sofa mattresses, daybed mattresses, rollaway bed mattresses, high bed mattresses, and trundle bed mattresses. This includes all mattresses sold for children, designed specifically for children, or intended for use by children.
This policy does not include infant and toddler mattresses, unless their dimensions are of general specifications, such as twin bed, full-size bed, queen-size bed, or king-size bed sizes.

You must work with an authorized third-party testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) service provider capable of conducting direct product verification to verify all notified ASINs.
If you have readily available documents: Submit them to an Amazon-authorized testing, inspection, and certification service provider. They will review these documents and determine whether they comply with Amazon's policy guidelines.
If you do not have readily available documents, or require new product testing: Send your products to a testing, inspection, and certification service provider. They will conduct testing according to the applicable standards.
To verify existing documents, you must submit the following information to the testing, inspection, and certification service provider:
Documents:
Test reports issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, proving the product meets all of the following requirements:
SOR/2016-183
Textile Labelling and Advertising Regulations
Product Testing:
Federal regulations may permit the use of certain testing methods, such as certification, representative testing, or component testing. However, Amazon additionally requires third-party testing, verification, or monitoring through an Amazon-authorized TIC provider.
Regardless of what documents have been previously submitted, Amazon still requires at least one mattress sample to be tested using the methods in SOR/2016-183 to prove compliance. Mattress ASINs and size variations need to be individually tested or verified before being relisted for sale. Testing can only prove the compliance of variations that differ in length and width but have no difference in depth. Please work with your TIC to determine sample requirements, testing, and the submission of compliance results.
