Devices of this category need to comply with 47 CFR Part 15, Part 68, and Part 2.

Certification is required according to the Certification procedure.

2. Two-Way Radios, WLAN Devices, and Other Wireless Communication Equipment

Devices of this category need to comply with 47 CFR Part 15 and Part 2.

Specific testing items include radiation emissions, conducted emissions, wireless RF indicators, etc. The testing methods primarily refer to Part 2 and ANSI C63.4.

Certification is required according to the Certification procedure.

3. Computers and Peripheral Devices

Devices of this category need to comply with 47 CFR Part 15. Testing items mainly involve radiation emissions and conducted emissions. Certification is required according to the DoC procedure.

Devices in this category mainly include computers, printers, display devices, storage devices, digital cameras, etc.

4. GSM/CDMA/3G Wireless Communication Terminals and Base Stations

Devices of this category need to comply with 47 CFR Part 22, Part 24, Part 15, and Part 2.

Specific testing items include Carrier Output Power, Transmitter Conducted Measurements, Radiated Spurious Emission, Frequency Stability, Necessary Bandwidth and Emission Bandwidth, SAR (for mobile terminals), etc. The testing methods primarily refer to 47 CFR Part 2 and ANSI C63.4.

Application and certification are required according to the Certification procedure.

5. Wired Communication Equipment

Devices of this category need to comply with 47 CFR Part 15. Testing items mainly involve radiation emissions and conducted emissions.

Communication equipment connected to the telephone network also needs to comply with 47 CFR Part 68, such as telephones, fax machines, group phones, modems, xDSL terminals, etc. This mainly involves testing communication indicators and safety indicators.

If the device is not connected to a computer port, certification is done according to the Verification procedure, such as regular telephones, regular fax machines, regular group phones, etc.

If the device is connected to a computer port, certification is required according to the DoC procedure, such as modems, xDSL terminals, multifunction fax printers, etc.
