A new standard, GB/T 18487.1-2023, was released on September 7, 2023, and came into effect on April 1, 2024.

 

The new version builds upon the original standard while addressing various safety concerns observed in the market. It introduces updated provisions focused on safety and reliability, and fills gaps in standards related to high-power charging. This makes it a critical basis for the design, manufacturing, and testing of charging infrastructure.
