The IMDA Certificate is issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority(IMDA) of Singapore. Any wireless or telecommunications product that is sold or used in Singapore must obtain this certification.
1. Enhanced Simplified Equipment Registration (ESER)
Applicable for: Bluetooth devices, RFID, wireless microphones, DVB-T2 set-top boxes, etc.
2. Simplified Equipment Registration (SER)
Applicable for: Mobile phones, routers, etc.
3. General Equipment Registration (GER)
Applicable for: Base stations, walkie-talkies, etc.
4. General Equipment Registration by Certification Body (GER-CB)
5. Declaration of Conformity (DoC / COFC)
Voluntary registration, applicable to exempted devices such as fax machines.
> Note:Most consumer electronics fall under the ESER and SER schemes.
> Except for the COFC, which is valid permanently, all other types of registrations are valid for 5 years.
