Singapore IMDA Certification

The Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) is the official regulatory body overseeing radio and telecommunications products in Singapore. Any such products that are sold or used in Singapore must obtain IMDA Certification.

Changes to IMDA Certification

In October 2016, the former Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and Media Development Authority (MDA) were restructured into two new bodies:

1. Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA)

2. Government Technology Agency (GovTech)

Certificates issued before October 2016 remain valid until their stated expiry date and do not require re-application. However, certificates issued after this date must comply with the updated IMDA regulations. The new labeling requirements also apply and must include the applicant’s registration number.
