The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand announced that starting from JULy 7, 2025, products supporting LTE band 4G (32, 75, 76) and 5G NR (n32, n75, n76) shall submit RF test reports to obtain the NBTC Class B certification.

① For new applications, NBTC requires the submission of test reports corresponding to the aforementioned frequency bands.
② For applications that have been submitted but not yet certified, NBTC requires the additional submission of test reports corresponding to the aforementioned frequency bands.
③ For certificates issued previously, NBTC does not mandate any action.
① 4G bands 32, 75, 76: ETSI TS 136101 or TS 36.521 - 1
② 5G NR bands n32, n75, n76: ETSI TS 138101 - 1 V18.9.0 or later versions

To ensure the smooth acquisition of nbtc certification for products, two recommendations are provided to relevant enterprises:
Product Planning Phase: Reserve Testing Time in Advance
If the enterprise's product design includes the newly added frequency bands mentioned this time, the enterprise may reserve sufficient time for compliance testing in the early R&D stage, so as to avoid certification cycle delays caused by the newly added tests and prevent impacts on the product launch schedule in the Thai market.
2. Certification Application Phase: Respond Precisely Based on Specific Situations
① For new application projects: Conduct a comprehensive check one by one before submitting the certification application to ensure that the test reports fully cover all the supported newly added frequency bands, thus avoiding rejection due to missing items.
② For submitted but uncertified projects: Proactively contact the certification body, arrange RF testing for the newly added frequency bands as soon as possible, and supplement the test reports in a timely manner to ensure the uninterrupted progress of the certification process.
The newly added requirements for NBTC Class B certification in Thailand have been implemented since July 7, 2025. JJR LAB recommends that relevant enterprises make reasonable plans for the testing time of the newly added items, so as to prevent products within the scope of certification from experiencing cycle delays and unnecessary econoMIC losses due to the lack of RF test reports.
