What is a Full-Wave Anechoic Chamber?

Views :
Update time : 2024-04-22

A full-wave anechoic chamber is a facility used for electromagnetic radiation testing and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. In a full-wave anechoic chamber, the walls, floor, and ceiling are covered with special materials to absorb electromagnetic radiation and prevent external electromagnetic interference. This facility is typically used to test the radiation levels of electronic devices, electromagnetic compatibility, and the performance of wireless communication devices, among other things. Testing conducted in a full-wave anechoic chamber can provide accurate data to help design and manufacture products that comply with electromagnetic compatibility standards.

What is radiation harassment (RE)?

Radiation harassment (RE) mainly refers to the disturbance caused by energy emitted from a source in the form of electromagnetic waves propagating through space, which interferes with equipment in the surrounding environment.

The Full-Wave Anechoic Chamber Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory features a 3-meter far-field anechoic chamber with the capability of full/half-wave anechoic chamber conversion. The testing systems inside the laboratory's chambers are provided by the renowned German company R/S, equipped with a complete set of emc testing software. Specifically for mobile phone clients, we also provide mobile phone spurious testing equipment and corresponding software. The entire set of EMS equipment in the laboratory is provided by the manufacturer HTEC, ensuring stable performance and accurate data.

Current testing capabilities and standards met include:

EMI Laboratory:

   (1) Radiated Emissions Testing (RE) --- Testing Standard: en55032

   (2) Conducted Emissions Testing (CE) --- Testing Standard: EN55032

   (3) Harmonic Current Testing (Harmonic) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-3-2

   (4) Voltage Fluctuation and Flicker Testing (Flicker) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-3-3

EMS Laboratory:

   (1) Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Testing (ESD) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-2

   (2) Radiated Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Field Immunity (RS) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-3

   (3) Conducted Disturbance Induced by Radio Frequency Fields Immunity (CS) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-6

   (4) Electrical Fast Transient/Burst Immunity Testing (EFT) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-4

   (5) Surge (Shock) Immunity (SURGE) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-5

   (6) Voltage Dips, Short Interruptions, and Voltage Variation Immunity Testing (DIP) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-11

   (7) Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity Testing (PFMF) --- Testing Standard: IEC 61000-4-8
