iso 3533-2021: AdULt Products - Design and Safety Requirements for Products that Come into Direct Contact with Genitals, Anus, or Both was released on September 29, 2021. The new ISO 3533 standard provides standardized specifications for the design, materials, and consumer information requirements of adult sex products. ISO 3533:2021 was developed within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is valid in 165 of the 195 countries/regions worldwide. China's JJR Testing Laboratory can provide adult sex product companies with testing services according to the ISO 3533-2021 international standard for adult sex toys, including general requirements, mechanical hazards, vibration, electrical safety, surface temperature, requirements for wireless remote-controlled products, surfaces, angles, edges, protruding parts, and environmental testing for restricted substances under CE certification.

The ISO 3533:2021 standard is limited to products that come into direct contact with genitals or the anus. Based on user feedback, these sex toys are the most likely to cause harm to the human body. Some of the requirements of the ISO 3533:2021 standard include:

Sex toys with heating functions must not exceed 118 degrees Fahrenheit, approximately 47.7 degrees Celsius (as this could cause first-degree burns).

Any part of the toy that may come into contact with intimate body parts (genitals, anus) should be "smooth, with no burrs or sharp edges."

Users must be clearly informed that anal plugs and beads should not be left in the body for extended periods, and in special situations where they cannot be removed on their own, they can be removed by medical professionals.

Chastity cages and ring-type toys must be removable with pliers or other commonly used tools in emergencies.

There are also relevant standards for product packaging, the use of biodegradable environmentally friendly materials, cleaning instructions for sex toys, and risk assessment protocols.

International Standard ISO 3533-2021 Testing Items for Adult Sex Toys:

General requirements, mechanical hazards, vibration, electrical safety, surface temperature, requirements for wireless remote-controlled products, surfaces, angles, edges, protruding parts, and environmental requirements for restricted substances.
