Battery IEC 60086-4 2019 Certification Testing

iec60086-4 2019 is a standard issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and is a commonly used safety and reliability standard specifically for primary lithium batteries. This standard is often referRED to as "Safety requirements for primary batteries - Part 4: Lithium batteries". This standard specifies the inspection items and requirements for primary lithium batteries to ensure that lithium primary batteries work safely under the expected use and reasonably foreseeable misuse.


       1. The 13 inspection items and compliance requirements specified in the IEC/EN60086-4 standard are as follows:


       Test A High altitude simULation Test H Forced discharge 


       Test B Temperature Cycle Test I Abnormal Charging 


       Test C Vibration Test J Free Fall 


       Test D Shock Test K Thermal Abuse 


       Test E External short circuit Test L Incorrect installation  


       Test F Impact Test M Overdischarge  


       Test G Extrusion

       2.  Sample requirements:


       Pure battery cell sample quantity: 100PCS battery cells


       Single-cell battery sample quantity: 100 PCS batteries


       Multi-cell battery pack sample quantity: 13PCS battery pack + 15PCS battery cell


       3. Test cycle


       About 2-3 weeks
