To export products to Europe and list them on European cross-border e-commerce platforms, CE certification is required. The ce mark indicates that the product complies with European directives and meets the required safety, health, and environmental protection standards.

1. CE Certification Directives and Standards:

CE certification varies based on product type and involves different directives and standards. The main CE certification directives include:

1. ce-lvd low voltage directive 2014/35/EU

   - Applies to electronic and electrical products with AC 50V-1000V, DC 75V-1500V.

   - Representative products: household appliances, IT products, AV products, powered machinery.

2. ce-emc Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU

   - Applies to electronic and electrical products with circuit boards that generate electromagnetic interference.

   - Representative products: household appliances, IT products, AV products, 3C digital products.

3. CE-MD Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

   - Applies to machinery with power systems.

   - Representative products: packaging machinery, injection molding machinery, woodworking machinery, engineering machinery.

4. CE-PPE Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC

   - Applies to devices or equipment worn or carried by people to prevent health and safety hazards.

   - Representative products: protective masks, earplugs, safety helmets.

5. CE-CPR Construction Products Directive (EU) 305/2011

   - Applies to construction materials used in building construction.

   - Representative products: fire doors, protective doors and walls, network cables.

6. CE-PED Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU

   - Applies to containers, pipelines, safety components, and pressure parts with a maximum allowable pressure above 0.5 bar.

   - Representative products: pressure valves.

7. CE-MDR Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC

   - Applies to general medical devices.

   - Representative products: ECG machines, medical masks, thermometers.

8. CE-EN71 Toy Safety Directive 88/378/EEC

   - Applies to toy products.

   - Representative products: plush toys, building block toys.

9. CE-ATEX Explosive Atmospheres Directive 94/9/EC

   - Applies to products used in explosive environments.

   - Representative products: explosion-proof lights.

10. CE-RCD Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC

    - Applies to yacht products.

11. CE-LIFTS Lifts Directive 95/16/EC

    - Applies to elevator products.

12. CE-RED Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU

    - Applies to radio and telecom terminal equipment.

    - Representative products: Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth speakers, routers.

13. CE-MID Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC

    - Applies to measuring instruments.

    - Representative products: electronic scales, thermometers, laser measuring instruments.

14. CE-RoHS Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU

    - Applies to all electronic and electrical products.

2. CE-lvd certification Requirements:

The CE-lvd directive (Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU) coordinates regulations for electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits. The directive aims to ensure the safety of low voltage equipment used within AC 50V-1500V and DC 75V-1500V.

3. CE-LVD Certification Evaluation Items:

The design and construction of the equipment should ensure that it is safe during normal use and under fault conditions. The following hazards should be assessed:

1. Electric Shock

2. Energy Hazard

3. Fire

4. Mechanical and Heat Hazard

5. Radiation Hazard

6. Chemical Hazard

4. CE-LVD Certification Testing Items:

1. Input Test (Power Test)

2. Heating Test

3. Humidity Test

4. Glow-Wire Test

5. Overload Test

6. Leakage Current Measurements

7. Electric Strength Test

8. Earth Continuity Test

9. Cord Anchorage Test

10. Stability Test

11. Plug Torque Test

12. Impact Test

13. Capacitor Discharge Test

14. Fault Conditions Test

15. Working Voltage Measurement

16. Motor Lock-Rotor Test

17. Low and High Temperature Test

18. Tumbling Test

19. Insulation Resistance Test

20. Ball Pressure Test

21. Screw Torque Test

22. Needle Flame Test
