CE Safety Compliance Testing

Since products with electrical components can pose risks like fire, electric shock, and explosion, the European Economic Area (EEA) has strict regULations on the import of such products. CE certification is required to sell these products locally, including on platforms like Amazon, eBay, Temu, and AliExpress.

Currently, products with electrical components require CE, ROHS, and reach certifications. Some products also need European ERP energy efficiency certification.

The CE certification for electrical products in the EU is divided into low-voltage and high-voltage categories, each requiring compliance with different standards and directives.

High-voltage products (AC 50-1000V, DC 75-1500V) must comply with directives: CE-LVD, CE-EMC, CE-EMF, and CE-RED (for wireless and Bluetooth products).

Low-voltage products (below AC 50V, DC 75V) need to comply with directives: CE-EMC, CE-EMF, and CE-RED (for wireless and Bluetooth products).

CE-LVD low voltage directive (2014/35/EU)

1. CE-LVD Standard en60335-1: Safety for household appliances and similar appliances, Part 1.

2. Audio/Video, IT AV Safety CE-LVD: EN6268-1 (safety requirements for audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment).

3. Lighting Safety Standard CE-LVD: EN60598-1.

   - Latest standard: EN60598-1:2021

4. Toys with Electrical Components CE Safety Standard: EN6215.

CE-EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2014/30/EU)

1. Home Appliance emc CE-EMC Standard:

   - EN55014-1:2021 (EMC disturbance requirements for household appliances and similar equipment)

   - EN55014-2:2021 (EMC immunity standard for household appliances and similar equipment)

2. Audio/Video, IT AV EMC CE-EMC Standard:

3. Lighting EMC CE-EMC Standard: EN5015 (radio disturbance characteristics of lighting equipment)

CE-RED Wireless Directive (2014/53/EU)

For electrically powered products with Bluetooth functionality, CE-RED compliance is mandatory:
