Children’s jewelry refers to items intended, in principle, to be worn or removed as adornments by children aged 12 years or younger.

This policy covers children’s jewelry including, but not limited to, anklets, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, jewelry-making or repair kits, and watches.

iance Requirements

Amazon requires that all children’s jewelry be tested and comply with the following regULations, standards, and requirements:

 

Option 1:

Comply with astm f2923-20 — Standard Specification for Consumer Product Safety for Children’s Jewelry.

 

Option 2:

Comply with all of the following:

- Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (cpsia):Restrictions on lead, phthalates, and cadmium.

- Consumer Product Safety Act, Section 14(a)(5):Tracking label requirements.

- 16 CFR Part 1303:Ban on lead-containing paint and certain consumer products bearing lead-containing paint.

- 16 CFR Parts 1500.50–1500.53:Use and abuse testing for toys and other articles intended for use by children.

 

Product Detail Page Requirements

Your Amazon product detail page must include:

• The age gradinglisted on the detail page must match the age grading shown on the test report.

• Small parts warning:The appropriate hazard warning (e.g., “Choking Hazard”) must be clearly displayed on the product detail page.

 

RequiRED Submissions

Documents:

• A test reportissued by a laboratory recognized by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), confirming that the product complies with all applicable regulations and standards.

• A Children’s Product Certificate (CPC).

 

Images:

• Name and address of the manufacturer, importer, distributor, or authorized representative.

• Product label.

• Compliance mark.

• Hazard warning (if applicable, e.g., for DIY jewelry kits).

• Product instructions and manuals.
