Recently, Amazon Europe has officially included portable power supplies (including functional products such as jump starters) in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) audit programme. Seller self-submitted test documents have been eliminated, and Direct Validation by designated third parties is fULly implemented. All existing and newly listed portable power supplies must pass inspection/validation by authorised bodies before they can be sold!
This requirement applies to multiple European marketplaces, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Poland and the Netherlands. Regulated products must pass compliance review by 15 March 2026, otherwise they will be removed by the platform.

Amazon defines a portable power supply as a device with a built-in lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery, used to supply power when no standard power source (e.g., wall socket) is available. It mainly includes the following two categories:
• Power Bank
Small portable rechargeable battery used to charge mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets.
• Portable Outdoor Power Station
PoweRED by rechargeable batteries, it can supply power to multiple electronic devices and small appliances, usually with AC/DC output. Some models also support functions such as car jump start and solar charging.

3. Battery Test Summary (BTS)
Certifies that the product complies with UN 38.3 requirements (applicable to power banks and portable outdoor power stations).
The product page must clearly display the following information:
• Model number/part number/product ID
• Manufacturer or brand name
• Model/number information
• Manufacturer/brand name
• Compliance marks (e.g., CE mark)
• Hazard warning labels
No specific format required; relevant content must be displayed clearly.
• All products listed on European marketplaces must bear the CE mark.
• If products are sold to Northern Ireland and third-party conformity assessment is performed by a UK notified body, the UKNI mark must also be provided.
Sort out portable power supply ASINs in your store, clarify product types and compliance standards. Prioritise ASINs that have received test requests in Account Health to avoid removal due to overdue compliance.
Compile compliance documents for each ASIN: core reports must be issued by an ISO 17025-accredited body and valid within 12 months. Prepare UN 38.3 reports, BTS documents and compliance graphics/text descriptions.
Complete compliance preparation for all ASINs in advance even if no test notification has been received. Amazon conducts regular inspections and random sampling; proactive compliance avoids listing removal risks.
