Update time : 2025-07-28

On January 31, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a direct final rule updating the safety standard 16 CFR 1220 for Non-Full-Size Baby Cribs. This rule incorporates and revises ASTM F406-24, the Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Non-Full-Size Baby Cribs/Play Yards, by removing portions that specifically apply to play yards. The latest version of ASTM F406 will now serve as the mandatory safety standard for non-full-size baby cribs. Unless significant adverse comments are received by March 3, 2025, the rule will become effective on April 5, 2025.
