On August 25, 2022, the US fcc issued the latest announcement, requiring all fcc id application projects to provide antenna specification information from the announcement date, otherwise the ID will be cancelled within 5 working days.
This requirement was first proposed in the summer TCB workshop in 2022. The FCC stated that merely noting in the report that the antenna gain is a description declared by the applicant does not meet the evaluation requirements. All applications need to have documents describing how the antenna gain is calculated from the data sheet provided by the manufacturer, or provide a measurement report of the antenna.
Antenna information can be uploaded in the form of a data table or a test report and made public on the FCC website. It should be noted that due to some commercial confidentiality requirements, antenna information or antenna structure in the test report, photos can be set to confidentiality, but antenna gain as the main information needs to be made public to the public.
