For exporting children’s products to the United States or listing them on Amazon US, you must provide a CPC (Children’s Product Certificate)and cpsia test report. Any related children’s product without a cpc certificate is not allowedto be exported or sold online.

Companies should note that federal law requires every children’s product to be tested by a third-party laboratory accepted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This ensures that an objective and impartial lab verifies the product has been properly tested and complies with federal children’s product safety requirements.

Who Must Conduct Third-Party Testing for Children’s Products?

- Importersmust ensure third-party testing for children’s products manufactured overseas.

- U.S. manufacturersmust ensure third-party testing for children’s products produced domestically.

Third-party testing is the foundation for a company to certify its children’s products and issue a CPC confirming compliance with all applicable children’s product safety rules.

Manufacturers or importers of children’s products that are subject to children’s product safety rules (or similar rules, bans, standards, or regulations enforced by the Commission) are always legally responsiblefor issuing the Children’s Product Certificate.

How to Look Up a CPSC-Accepted Third-Party Laboratory?

Search method:

1. Go to: https://www.cpsc.gov/cgi-bin/labsearch/

2. In the search interface, enter the Lab IDprovided to the third-party agency.
