Member Bodies (MBs)

The Member Bodies (MBs) are representatives of the national electrotechnology communities. There is only one MB per country. They consist of a broad representation from industry, electrical regULatory authorities, standards bodies, and those with interests in conformity assessment.

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:40:0)

Currently, there are 54 countries, with 42 having voting rights and 12 without.

National Certification Bodies (NCBs)

National Certification Bodies (NCBs) operate national certification or approval schemes for electrotechnical equipment and components in countries with a Member Body in the IECEE. They issue cb test Certificates.

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:41:0)

There are currently 91 NCBs. China has six, listed below:

These 91 bodies (including six from China) are authorized to issue CB certificates for the corresponding standards. How to check which product standards these bodies can issue cb certificates for:

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:42:0)

There are currently 531 CBTLs.

Specialized Testing Laboratories (SPTLs)

Specialized Testing Laboratories (SPTLs) have limited testing capabilities and conduct only specific or selected tests from a complete testing program requiRED to issue a TR.

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:29:0)

Currently, there are 25 SPTLs.

Customers' Testing Facilities (CTFs)

Customers' Testing Facilities (CTFs) are owned by manufacturers and participate in the IECEE System.

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:33:0:::::)

There are currently 1,793 CTFs. The distribution of levels and quantities is as follows:

Local Technical Representatives (LTRs)

Local Technical Representatives (LTRs) are individuals operating under the responsibility of NCBs who perform testing and/or supervisory activities locally at a CTF.

Query method: (https://www.iecee.org/dyn/www/f?p=106:37:0)
