The South African National RegULator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS)is governed by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act (Act 5 of 2008), which was published in the Government Gazette 31216 on July 4, 2008, and became mandatory on September 1, 2008. > Products in these five categories exported to South Africa must first obtain an IEC report, after which the local importer can apply for LOA certificationin South Africa.
