Core Changes in UL 2108:2024

1. Mandatory emc testing (radiated + conducted emissions) is newly added. Products without a qualified report cannot obtain UL listing or be listed on e-commerce platforms.

2. System-level evaluation is emphasized. Compliance of individual components is insufficient; the power supply and luminaire must be matched and pass the overall testing.

3. Applies to common cross-border products such as 12V/24V LED light strips and low-voltage track lights, with increased testing difficulty.

Scope of Application

Platform Compliance red Lines (Non-Negotiable)

① Amazon: UL 2108 reports must be submitted by accredited TIC bodies; sellers are not allowed to upload reports on their own.

② TEMU: This report is set as a mandatory entry requirement for low-voltage lighting products, and only reports from whitelisted bodies are accepted.

③ Consequences of Violation: Product removal, fines, account restrictions, and store closure in severe cases.
