Temu Europe Station CE-RoHS Compliance

Views :
Update time : 2025-11-27

With the tightening of product compliance regulations in the EU, e-commerce platforms are also strengthening various compliance controls. Recently, Temu has launched a comprehensive inspection of RoHS Compliance, which may be stricter than previous ones. Any negligence may affect product listing or even lead to penalties.

Key Points: Where Are Temu's New RULes Restrictive?

① The CE-rohs report will verify whether all multi-color SKUs are reflected in the report. For example, if two SKUs (black and white) are listed in the backend, both colors must be included in the CE-ROHS Test report.

② RoHS is a cheMICal test. All homogeneous components shown in the SKU images must be reflected in the test report. Different SKUs with different colors or accessories cannot share the same report and require separate reports.

③ The CE-RoHS document must be a complete test report, including data on ten hazardous substances, and all materials must be tested to meet regulatory requirements.

Note: For more detailed requirements of the Temu platform, please log in to the "Compliance Center" in the Temu Seller Backend.

Basic Introduction to CE-RoHS

RoHS is a mandatory regulation formulated by EU legislation, whose full name is the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive.

The main purpose of this directive is to restrict the use of chemical substances harmful to human health and the environment in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). These substances include 10 items in total: Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs), Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Benzyl Butyl Phthalate (BBP), Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP), and BIS(2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP). Sellers must ensure that the submitted test report includes these 10 test items.

Which Products Are CoveRED by CE-RoHS?

The "electrical and electronic equipment" covered by the RoHS Directive refers to equipment designed for a rated voltage not exceeding 1000V AC and 1500V DC, which relies on electric current or electromagnetic fields to normally perform at least one designed function, or equipment used to generate, transmit, and measure such electric currents and electromagnetic fields.

Specific categories include 11 major types: Large household appliances, Small household appliances, Information technology and telecommunications equipment, Consumer equipment, Lighting equipment, Electrical and electronic tools, Toys, Leisure and sports equipment, Medical devices, Monitoring and control instruments (including industrial monitoring instruments), Vending machines, and Others (other electrical and electronic equipment not covered above). Sellers must note that all products within the scope of the directive require a CE-RoHS report.

If you do not yet have the relevant CE-RoHS report, please contact China JJR Laboratory in a timely manner.
