Electric cutting tools are AC or DC powered electrical devices that cut, slice, grind, or shear materials. These tools are available in both portable and stationary forms and are intended for consumer or industrial use in construction, manufacturing, metalworking, woodworking, and demolition operations. This policy covers the following electric saws: band saws, chain saws, chop saws, circular saws, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jamb saws, jig saws, miter saws, pole saws, radial arm saws, reciprocating saws, scroll saws, table saws, and tile saws. Other covered products include angle grinders and polishers, hand-held grinders, laminate trimmers, log splitters, sanders, shears, and nibblers.

This policy does not cover fuel-powered tools, pneumatic tools, manual cutting tools, or standalone accessories that are not sold together with the electric tool.
