FCC certification is one of the important certifications for the U.S. market and is a mandatory requirement for entering the U.S. market. Most electronic products need to have FCC certification to be sold in the U.S. market. The following categories of products require FCC certification:

What devices require FCC certification?(图1)

1. Lighting Products:

LED lighting, LED displays, LED power supplies/drivers, ballasts, energy-saving lamps, stage lighting, dimmers, converters, electronic dimming devices for stage and entertainment venues, AC electronic ballasts for tubULar fluorescent lamps, tubular fluorescent lamps, ballasts for discharge lamps, fixed lamps, portable lamps, recessed lamps, etc.

2. Household Appliances and Power Tools:

Household appliances include air conditioners, refrigerators, electric irons, MICrowave ovens, vacuum cleaners, food processors, electric kettles, electronic sterilization cabinets, microwave ovens, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, electric toys, automatic rice cookers, electric shavers, electric clippers, hair dryers, toasters, massage devices, battery chargers, electric stoves, cooktops, washing machines, induction cookers, electric food processors, low-power motors, and other electronic and electrical products.

Power tools include grinders, circular saws, nail guns, electric drills, pneumatic drills, and other household appliances.

3. Personal Computers and Peripheral Devices:

Personal computers and monitors, printers, keyboards, power adapters, mice, scanners, interface cards, electronic gaming devices, power supplies, UPS, fax machines, modems, answering machines, switches, etc.

9. Industrial Machinery:

Shearing machines, woodworking machines, packaging machines, plastic machines, metal cutting machines, food processing machines, food machinery, printing machines, die casting machines, electrical control systems for machinery and equipment, amusement facilities, hydraulic machines, gasoline engines, welding machines, CNC drilling machines, tool grinders, lawn mowers, washing equipment, bulldozers, lifts, punching machines, dishwashers, water treatment equipment, gasoline generators, printing machinery, woodworking machinery, rotary drilling rigs, brush cutters, snow blowers, excavators, printers, cutting machines, rollers, leveling machines, brush cutters, straighteners, food machinery, lawn mowers, etc.

In general, most radio products, communication equipment, and digital products require FCC certification. Products intended for home use are subject to stricter requirements than those used for commercial and industrial purposes. Mandatory FCC certification ensures that products entering the U.S. market meet its testing requirements and comply with market standards. The purpose of FCC certification is also to REDuce electromagnetic interference, manage and control the radio frequency spectrum, and protect the normal operation of telecommunication networks and electrical products.
