Update time : 2024-09-19

The basic definition of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) is the ability of a device or system to function properly in its electromagnetic environment without causing intolerable electromagnetic interference to anything in that environment. Electromagnetic interference refers to the degradation in performance of a device or system caused by such interference.

What is CE EMC Test?(图1)

It involves two key aspects:

- EMI (Electromagnetic Interference): The electromagnetic disturbances that a device itself generates during operation.

- EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility): The ability of a device to resist electromagnetic interference in its environment.

emc testing Items:

- EMI (Electromagnetic Interference): RE (Radiated Emission), CE (Conducted Emission), Harmonics (Harmonic Current), Flicker.

- EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility): ESD (Electrostatic Discharge Immunity), RS (Radiated Immunity), EFT (Electrical Fast Transient Burst Immunity), Surge (Surge Immunity), CS (Conducted Immunity), PMS (Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity), Dips (Voltage Dips).

emc certification verifies the electromagnetic compatibility of a product.

EMC covers the following product categories:

1. IT Products:

- EMC standards: EN 55022/EN 55024.

- Common products: personal computers, telephones, scanners, routers, printers, calculators, copiers, digital cameras, power adapters, and more.

2. AV Products:

- EMC standards: EN 55013/EN 55020.

- Common products: speakers, audio/video equipment, projectors, DVD players, TVs, amplifiers, radios, etc.

3. Household Appliances:

- EMC standards: EN 55014-1/EN 55014-2.

- Common products: electric kettles, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, fans, water heaters, etc.

4. Lighting Products:

- EMC standards: EN 55015/EN 61547.

- Common products: lamps, ceiling lights, floor lamps, LED strips, electronic ballasts, etc.

5. Medical Devices:

- EMC standard: YY0505:2012.

- Common products: radiation therapy equipment, ECG machines, analyzers, ultrasound nebulizers, etc.

EMC project completion time:

- General products: 1-2 weeks for EMC rectification.

- Medical or complex EMC rectification: about 1 month.

- EMC reports for regions like the EU, Australia, Canada, Japan can be issued within 1 week by our laboratory.
