The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)of Singapore is the regULatory authority responsible for telecommunications equipment registration. IMDA has established a comprehensive framework outlining the procedures and requirements for registering telecommunications equipment sold and used in Singapore.

Equipment registration is based on the Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (sdoc), where the supplier declares that the equipment meets IMDA standards.

The registration schemes are divided into five types:

1. Enhanced Simplified Equipment Registration (ESER)

2. Simplified Equipment Registration (SER)

3. General Equipment Registration (GER)

4. General Equipment Registration by Certification Body (GER-CB)

5. Confirmation of Conformity (COFC)

The first four apply to products that require registration, while COFC applies to products that are exempt from registration.
