What is TIC Direct Verification?

TIC stands for Testing, Inspection, and Certification.

In the past, sellers could manually upload third-party test reports. Under the new regulations, sellers can no longer upload these documents themselves. Instead, verification results must be submitted directly to the platform by an Amazon-approved TIC agency.

Report Validity Period

Requirements vary by marketplace:

• North American Marketplaces (US / Canada): Test reports are valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.

• European Marketplaces (UK / EU Countries): No fixed validity period, but reports must comply with the current latest effective standards. If a standard is updated, the report must be redone.

Verification Frequency

• All marketplaces require DV verification to be completed once a year.

• A warning alert will be issued in Seller Central 15–30 days before expiration.

• Overdue verification → Automatic removal of the ASIN.

Key Reminders

• Any changes to product materials, design, or manufacturing processes require re-verification, even if the current report has not yet expired.

• Old reports can be verified, but they must simultaneously meet three criteria: Within the 1-year validity period + Full testing completed + Based on the latest version of the standard.

Standard Processing Workflow

1. The seller initiates verification via Manage Your Compliance (MYC) in Seller Central.

2. Select a whitelisted TIC agency and generate a TRF (Test Request Form) number.

3. Send product samples for testing / submit existing reports for verification.

4. Upon approval, the TIC agency directly transmits the results to Amazon.

5. The backend displays "Compliant", and normal sales are restored.
