On March 8 this year, the FCC updated Part 15E, adding ULtra-low power devices operating in the 5.925 ~ 6.425 GHz (UNII-5) and 6.525 ~ 6.875 GHz (UNII-7) frequency bands.
CompaRED with before the update, the updated fcc part 15E has the following key updates:
01.The maximum eirp of VLP equipment is 14 dBm, and the maximum PSD is −5 dBm/MHz eirp;
02.VLP equipment can operate indoors and outdoors, but fixed outdoor scenarios, oil platforms, land vehicles, ships and drones are prohibited;
03.VLP equipment must preferentially operate above the 6105 MHz frequency;
04.VLP devices should employ a Transmit Power Control (TPC) mechanism.
