What is Radiated Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Field Immunity?

Radiated RF electromagnetic field immunity, also known as radiation sensitivity, radiated immunity, or R/S, is one of the fundamental tests in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) immunity. It refers to the ability of devices, equipment, or systems to resist interference from radiated electromagnetic fields. The higher the sensitivity, the lower the interference resistance. For example, electromagnetic fields generated by radio stations, television stations, fixed or mobile radio transmitters, and various industrial radiation sources are typically measuRED in the frequency range of 80 MHz to 6 GHz according to standard practices.

 

For products such as electric bicycles, electric scooters, and industrial trucks, the lower limit of the measurement frequency is extended from the conventional 80 MHz down to 20 MHz, and the field strength is increased to a maximum of 30 V/m. When operating within these electromagnetic fields, such products may be affected, potentially disrupting normal operation.

Certification Timeline

- Single Test: Test resULts within 3 working days. Add 2 more working days if a report is required.

- Certification: Product certification includes multiple tests, with low-frequency radiation immunity being one item. The overall timeline is generally 15 working days.

 

Certificate Validity

The validity period depends on the standard’s effective duration. If there are no significant technical changes, the certificate can be directly updated to the latest standard. Please consult technical support for details.
