ised is the abbreviation for Industry Canada. As a government agency, it is responsible for the certification affairs of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. Similar to the fcc in the United States, ISED currently only imposes restrictions on electromagnetic interference (EMI).
General regulations: Only EMI is mandatory. The certification methods are also identical to the FCC, utilizing three approaches: Self-Verification, Declaration of Conformity, and Certification.
ised id: CN (Company Number, up to 6 digits) + UPN (Unique Product Number, up to 8 digits). The application is free, but it must include a Canadian representative's address information.
The products under its jurisdiction are broadly classified into:

Industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) equipment, etc.
No factory inspection is required.
Wireless products undergoing ISED testing must apply for ISED (ID) wireless certification. If the client is not already registered on record with ISED, the process will take an additional 5 working days compared to the standard timeframe.

Submit Materials: Submit samples, the application form, and related materials;
Testing: Arrange for testing;
Results & Reporting: If the test fails, notify the client for rectification; if the test passes, compile the test report and issue the certificate;
Completion: Collect the certificate and report upon payment of the final balance.
