Whether for newly listed ASINs or existing inventory, all products subject to platform random inspections or compliance verification notices must strictly follow this process. Failure to do so will result in risks such as Listing delisting and account restrictions.

 

It is important to clarify that Amazon explicitly categorizes portable car jump starters under the scope of portable power banks, making them subject to the mandatory UL2743 + un38.3 certification requirements. They are not treated as a special category exempt from the policy.

 

These multi-functional products integrating jump starting, lighting, and charging capabilities, due to their higher power output and more complex application scenarios, have become key targets of the platform’s compliance supervision.

1. Electrical Safety Testing: Includes power input testing, lithium battery charging system verification, leakage current testing, dielectric withstand voltage testing, overload and short-circuit protection testing, etc. These ensure the product’s electrical circuit design complies with standards and prevents risks such as electric leakage and overheating.

2. Mechanical Safety Testing: Encompasses casing strength testing, handle strength testing, stress relief testing, stability testing, etc. These are tailored to scenarios involving collisions and bumps during outdoor carrying and movement.

3. Environmental and Special Function Testing: Involves rain resistance testing, high and low-temperature environmental simulation, jump starter function verification, etc. Particularly for the special usage scenarios of jump starters, it enhances requirements for performance stability under extreme conditions.

 

Notably, the UL2743 standard explicitly applies to portable/movable power banks weighing under 18kg or equipped with wheels, covering various battery types such as lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. If the audit fails, sellers must collaborate with the service provider to address the issues identified by the platform (e.g., incomplete report information, inconsistencies between the product and the report) and resubmit the application.

 

It should be noted that Amazon will conduct regular random inspections or unscheduled additional evaluations of products. Therefore, sellers must establish a long-term compliance mechanism, properly store test reports, certification certificates, and other documents. In the event of product design changes, timely retesting and qualification updates are required.

 

Urgent Action Recommendations: Key Measures to Avoid Delisting Risks

With the March 10, 2026 centralized delisting deadline fast approaching, sellers must prioritize tasks and expedite compliance efforts:

4. Prioritize UL-certified models for key components (e.g., batteries): This reduces the risk of test failures and improves certification efficiency.

 

Amazon’s strengthened compliance requirements for portable power supplies essentially reflect the platform’s enhanced commitment to consumer safety, and are an inevitable trend toward the standardized development of the industry. For sellers, UL2743 + UN38.3 certification is not only a "ticket" to enter the North American market but also the foundation for building brand trust and achieving long-term operations.
