Update time : 2025-08-06

According to Australian regULations, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) compliance is mandatory for nearly all electronic products supplied to the Australian market. The c-tick certification trademark registration must comply with the applicable requirements of an Australian registeRED company. The current requirements primarily cover:

Australia C-Tick Certification Standards(图1)

- Conducted emissions at power terminals (AC RF emissions along power lines)

- Conducted emissions from telecommunication terminals (RF emissions along telephone lines)

- Radiated RF emissions (RF emissions transmitted through the air from the device)

A-Tick Overview

The A-Tick certification mark is specifically for telecommunications equipment. The following devices fall under A-Tick regulation:

• Telephones (including cordless phones and VoIP devices)

• Modems (including dial-up, ADSL, etc.)

• Telephone answering machines

• Mobile phones

• ISDN devices

• Telecom headsets and amplifiers

• Cable devices and cables

In short, any device that connects to a telecommunications network requires A-Tick certification.

Most Common australian c-tick Standards:

- AS/NZS CISPR 11: EMC requirements for ISM equipment

- AS/NZS CISPR 12: EMC requirements for spark-ignition engines

- AS/NZS CISPR 13: EMC requirements for audio, video, and broadcast equipment

- AS/NZS CISPR 14: EMC requirements for appliances and power tools

- AS/NZS CISPR 15: EMC requirements for lighting equipment

- AS/NZS CISPR 22: EMC requirements for information technology equipment

- AS/NZS 61000-6-3: Generic EMC requirements for residential, commercial, and light-industrial environments

- AS/NZS 61000-6-4: Generic EMC requirements for industrial environments

Compliance Engineering provides EMC conformity testing services to meet your C-Tick certification requirements. We also offer preliminary emc testing services and C-Tick filing support for non-Australian clients. Our experienced team is available to assist in selecting from a wide range of EMC suppression components.

Products with wireless signal sources must also comply with AS/NZS 4268.
