Update time : 2025-11-04

Selling baby pacifiers and pacifier clips on the Amazon platform requires strict adherence to regULations and standards to ensure the safety of babies. Below are the detailed requirements:

Standards for Baby Pacifiers

Products must meet one of the following standards:

1. AS 2432:2015 Standard

If your product is intended for the Australian market, it must comply with AS 2432:2015 (Infant pacifiers).

- This standard specifies requirements for materials, structural design, and other aspects to ensure the safety and comfort of babies.

2. EN 1400:2013+A1:2014 Standard

According to the 2017 Consumer Goods (Baby Dummies and Dummy Chains) Safety Standard, products for the European market must comply with EN 1400:2013+A1:2014 (Child use and care articles - Soothers for babies and young children - Safety requirements and test methods).

- This standard focuses on safety requirements and testing methods to ensure the pacifiers do not pose any harm to babies during use.

Regulations for Pacifier Clips

Products must comply with all the following regulations:

1. EN 12586:2008+A1:2011 Standard

According to the 2017 Consumer Goods (Baby Dummies and Dummy Chains) Safety Standard, products for the European market must comply with EN 12586:2008+A1:2011 (Child use and care articles - Soother holders - Safety requirements and test methods).

- This standard covers the strength, dimensions, and harmful substance content of pacifier clips to prevent risks such as strangulation or ingestion of small parts during use.

2. Consumer Protection Notice No. 11 of 2011

If the product falls under the requirements of this notice, compliance is also mandatory.

- This notice further standardizes safety indicators for pacifier clips from the perspective of consumer rights protection.

RequiRED Documentation

To demonstrate product compliance, sellers must provide the following:

1. Test Reports

- Test reports must be issued by laboratories accredited by ISO 17025, the National Association of Testing Authorities in Australia, or the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (e.g., China JJR Laboratory).

- The report should clearly demonstrate that the product meets the above-mentioned regulations and standards.

2. Images

- Clear images of the product manual and instructions must be provided.

- The images should verify that the product matches both the tested item and the product displayed on the product detail page. The following details must be included:

- Product manual, instructions, safety information, labels, and warnings.

- All information must be in the language of the target sales country/region.

- For bundled or packaged products, provide images for each item included.

- Where possible, submit images showing all sides of the product or its packaging to expedite approval and reduce the likelihood of delays in the approval process.

Following these requirements and ensuring product compliance are critical steps for sellers to successfully list and safely sell their products on Amazon.
